Trenton Cold Storage Opens New Moncton Facility to Support Atlantic Canada’s Communities and Industries
Trenton Cold Storage (TCS), a proudly Canadian, family-owned company since 1902, is excited to open its newest cold storage facility in Moncton, New Brunswick. This expansion is about more than growing our footprint—it’s about serving and supporting the people, producers, and communities that make Atlantic Canada so unique.
For over 120 years, our family has worked alongside Canadian farmers, fishers, bakers, and food producers to keep food safe, fresh, and moving. With our new Moncton facility, we are deepening that commitment by creating a hub designed to help local industries—from seafood and potatoes to blueberries, dairy, and meat—get their products to market quickly, safely, and reliably.
A Facility Built for Atlantic Canada
Located at 105 Promenade Scoudouc Industrial Dr., Shediac, NB, the Moncton site sits in the heart of Atlantic Canada’s transportation network, linking road, rail, air, and sea routes. This means faster delivery times, reduced costs, and stronger connections for local businesses competing in Canadian and global markets.
Highlights include:
- 140,000 sq. ft. of temperature-controlled space in Phase 1 (expandable to 400,000 sq. ft.)
- Flexible capacity for seafood, produce, meat, baked goods, and more
- Multi-temperature storage (frozen, chilled, ambient)
- Case picking, packing, and assembly services
- Cross-docking, container destuffing, and palletizing
- TL/LTL transportation and courier solutions
- Static freezing and product preservation
- CFIA import/export inspections for compliance
- Custom labelling, stamping, and packaging
“This facility was built with our customers and community in mind,” Wayne Hebert, Vice President at TCS. “We’re here to help local businesses thrive by offering faster, more reliable service and the flexibility to meet evolving supply chain demands. It’s a testament to our team’s dedication and our commitment to Atlantic Canada.” The Moncton team is ready to handle seasonal harvests, import/export logistics, and regional distribution with the care and responsiveness that local industries deserve—ensuring food safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way.
